Over 100,000 Closed Sales in 2022

NJ Realtors® 2022 year-end housing market data is now available on the state, local, and municipal levels! In 2022, there were 108,064 closed sales, a decline of -17.8% compared to 2021. New listings also declined in 2022 with 134,557 homes listed, a -14.6% decrease.

While new listings and closed sales declined, the median sales price increased nearly $29,100 over last year to $429,000.

New Inland Flood Rules from the DEP

The 60-day public comment period for the NJ Department of Environmental Protection's new inland flood protection rule ends on Feb. 3.

The rule was proposed following the flood devastation from Hurricane Ida and aims to address outdated rainfall data, ensure development and construction projects are well-equipped with data and protect New Jersey's assets.
