Advocacy at the Local Level
New Jersey Realtors® works with local boards and associations across the state to support or oppose policies at the local level having an impact on real estate.
Three Local Victories
- Successfully opposed an ordinance that would have prohibited short-term rentals in Middletown.
- Supported changes lowering the cost of obtaining a certificate of occupancy while also streamlining the requirements to obtain one in Toms River.
- Ensured the requirements of a new rental ordinance in Sea Bright apply to all real estate agents doing business in the town and not only Realtors®.
