2022 Award Updates

National Association of Realtors® Certifications

Starting in 2022, you can claim any NAR-recognized certifications for an industry unit, in addition to designations.

All requirements to obtain the designation/certification, including course work, paying application fees, and submitting the application, must be fulfilled by

Sept. 30, 2022, and NAR or its authorized provider must report your completion between Jan. 1, 2022, and Dec. 31, 2022.

Options, Renewals & Extensions for Rentals

You may claim options, renewals, and extensions for both commercial and residential rentals as long as you were paid a subsequent commission specifically for the occurrence.

How Often Are Lead-Based Paint Inspections Required?

 

According to the NJ Department of Community Affairs, for non-exempt units, after the initial inspection is conducted, units shall be inspected for lead-based paint hazards every three years or upon tenant turnover, whichever is earlier.
