Transient Accommodations Tax

Published Jul 11, 2018

The state legislature passed the Transient Accommodations Tax in the 2019 state budget, which will tax short-term rental sites previously unregulated by the state. This includes all accommodations or rentals that were booked through a third party, such as AirBnB, FlipKey, HomeAway.com, etc.

Short-term rentals handled by licensed real estate professionals are excluded from this new tax.
