A 3 hour course which will satisfy both the NAR Ethics Requirement and the NJREC Continuing Education requirement for Ethics and Fair Housing. Upon successful completion of this course, students will achieve an understanding of how to practice real estate in the most ethical way possible, and the actions taken when ethics are in question. In addition to the ethics component, the course will also review both the Federal and State Fair Housing guidelines in celebration of 50+ years of Fair Housing in order to ensure equal housing opportunity for all.
TOPICS COVERED: Review of the Code of Ethics: History and Background of the Code, Review of Selected Articles of the Code and Standards of Practice, Enforcement of the Code, & Concept of Procuring Cause in Arbitration
Review of Fair Housing: Overview of 50 years of Fair Housing, Federal and State Fair Housing Laws, American's With Disabilities Act, Disparate Impact Discrimination, The HUD NAR Partnership: Advertising, Code for Equal Opportunity, the Fair Housing Declaration

CE Cancellation Policy If a course is CANCELLED, a refund check will be issued within 10 Business days. NO registration fee will be refunded for any reason on the day of the class. If a member wishes to drop out of a class, at any time, a written notice must be submitted 3 business days in advance of the starting date in order to receive a tuition refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee. If you decide to transfer to another class, note this is a one-time courtesy at no additional charge, unless the fee for the other class is greater, a difference of payment will be required and submitted. GBR reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified prior to the event and full refunds will be issued by check.
