Realtors® Win Local Victories in Trenton and Fair Haven

Published Jul 22, 2015

This week, New Jersey Realtors® had the pleasure of working closely with local associations to help advocate the Realtor®-position on two important issues. Alongside the Mercer County Association of Realtors®, we opposed an ordinance in Trenton that would have held property owners legally responsible for the criminal actions of their tenants and potentially cost landlords thousands of dollars.  This ordinance has now been indefinitely postponed by the council.

In Fair Haven, the Borough Council adopted an ordinance allowing open house directional signs on the public right-of-way at the request of NJ Realtors® and the Monmouth County Association of Realtors®. NJ Realtors has worked on similar sign ordinances in more than 15 towns throughout the state.
